THE AVALANCHES

CORONA THEATRE, MONTREAL
WEDNESDAY, October 5th, 8:00 PM


From the great city of Melbourne in Australia, The Avalanches come tumbling back to Montreal on October 5th at the Corona Theatre in Montreal. The Avalanches will bring their unique blend of electronic music blended with hip hop, disco, and every other genre that may fit in any single song. The Avalanches also incorporate sampling from other musical artists, television, and movie audio. Their music can be both uplifting and energetic while making you curious about how they imagined they can put it all together. 

The Avalanches hit the music scene in 2000 with their extraordinarily successful album “Since I Left You” and followed up on that sixteen years later with their second studio album “Wildflower”. In 2020 the Aussie group released “We Will Always Love You” adding to their compact list of studio albums. The Avalanches will be covering the music from their studio albums, but you can rest assured they will take twists and turns you have never heard.

FOZZY

FOUFONES ELECTRONIQUES, MONTREAL
THURSDAY OCTOBER 6TH, 7:30 PM

Foufones Electriques has hosted some amazing concerts over the years and will continue to do so on October 6th welcoming Fozzy to their stage in downtown Montreal. Fozzy is led by none other than future Hall of Fame wrestler Chris Jericho who proves he can do more than cut a solid wrestling promo by being a great rock singer. Jericho founded the band in 1999 in Atlanta, Georgia, and has been rocking venues around the world ever since then. 

One of Fozzy’s most popular songs is “Judas” which coincidently is Jericho’s entrance song when he competes in AEW. Fozzy may not be as popular as rock legends like Metallica or Iron Maiden, but they have developed a niche cult following that loves their music. Fozzy is sure to bring the energy and if you love Jericho this is a must-see show in an extremely intimate venue.

GORILLAZ with EarthGang

BELL CENTRE, MONTREAL
SATURDAY OCTOBER 8TH, 7:30 PM

It comes as no surprise the Gorillaz have included Montreal in their North American tour at the Bell Centre on October the 8th. The Gorillaz is a worldwide sensation selling over twenty-six million records since the band was founded in 1998. The Gorillaz are unlike any other bands out there because they are a” virtual band” that present themselves via animated characters, holographic projections, and on the rarest of occasions in person. 

The Gorillaz will be promoting their latest album called “Cracker Island” and is sure to be performing many of their classic hits as well. The only question that remains is in what form will the Gorillaz present themselves at the Bell Centre. In any case, you will be gifted with incredible music and visuals you can make your friends jealous about. 

ME FIRST AND THE GIMMIE GIMMIES with The Black Tones

WHEN: SUNDAY OCTOBER 9TH, 7:30 PM 

The supposed best band on earth Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies will bring their punk musical stylings to Club Soda on October the 9th. MFGG came together in 1995 with a killer lineup that included punk superstar musicians that include Spike Lawson from Fat Wreck, Joey Cape from Lagwagon, Dave Raun from Fat Wreck, and the one and only Fat Mike from NOFX. 

This punk supergroup made its name as a cover band covering classic hits into high-paced punk delicacies that will make you laugh and move at the same time. They have released five studio albums since their inception and will likely be covering many of your favorite covers in Montreal. 

Demi Lovato HOLY FVCK TOUR with Dead Sara, Royal & The Serpent

BELL CENTRE, MONTREAL
SUNDAY OCTOBER 16TH, 8:00 PM

The lovely Demi Lovato takes over the Centre in Montreal on October the 16th giving fans a Holy Fvcken show. Demi Lovato will be performing many songs from her latest album Holy Fvck while blending in many other songs from “Dancing with the Devil…the Art of Starting Over,” “Don’t Forget,” “Unbroken” and more. Demi Lovato is multi-talented and writes her music and was also an actor. You might have seen her on Barney and Friends, Camp Rock. Will & Grace and her latest film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. 

Demi Lovato has been in the news for both good and bad reasons, whether she is soaring up the music charts or struggling with mental health issues. Demi seems to have rebounded from her struggles and hopes to shine during her Holy Fvck tour.

MICHAEL BUBLE

BELL CENTRE, MONTREAL
TUESDAY OCTOBER 18TH, 8:00 PM

Not many can set the mood for a romantic night like Michael Buble and on October 18th you can share a magical evening with a loved one listening to Bublé’s velvet voice. Buble who was born in British Columbia, Canada has been crooning his way into the hearts and minds of jazz and music fans since 1994. Buble will be featuring his latest eleventh studio album titled “Higher” during his concert in Montreal and will not shy away from playing some of the hit songs either. 

Buble has sold over seventy-five million records throughout his music career and has become an international superstar. Buble has songs alongside music legends such as Barbara Streisand, Diana Krall, Boyz II Men, and Mariah Carey to name a few. Although Buble will not b a performer with those megastars, Buble has enough talent to carry the show by himself. 

THE FLAMING LIPS

MTELUS, MONTREAL
FRIDAY OCTOBER 21ST, 8:00 PM

The Osheaga Festival may have ended in August but that does not mean that Osheaga stops bringing amazing bands to Montreal all year round. Osheaga proudly presents The Flaming Lips on October 21st at Mtelus. The Flaming Lips are an international indie sensation that has been quietly rocking out since 1983! Their latest album was released this year titled “American Head “where the band continues their tradition of pushing boundaries and exploring their music through an artistic lens. 

The Flaming Lips follow their own rules, and it is difficult to relate them to a single genre of music. You can expect to hear music styles blending and ranging from psychedelic, rock, punk, and even some electronica at times. The Flaming Lips have released over sixteen studio albums throughout their extensive career and remain an icon in the indie music scene.

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS SPIRITS ON FIRE TOUR with Janes Addiction

BELL CENTRE, MONTREAL
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 26TH, 6:30 PM

The Smashing Pumpkins and Janes Addiction sharing the stage will be a dream come true for many alternative rock fans on October 26th at Bell Centre in downtown Montreal. Talk about a pair of legendary bands bringing their talents to you for an incredible evening of musical bliss. It has been a long time since Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins have visited Montreal and fans could not be any happier. The Smashing Pumpkins have been no slouch when it comes to creating hit songs such as “Bullet with Butterfly Wings,” “Tonight, Tonight,” “Zero” and countless others. 

The Smashing Pumpkins have always remained true to themselves by taking risks and producing albums the way they want avoiding becoming formulaic. If you want to get to know Billy Corgan, you should listen to his appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast. The Smashing Pumpkins will have Janes Addiction opening for them at the Bell Centre which means you need to get there early because you do not want to miss their performance.
