So you are planning a bachelorette party and it involves a trip to a sexy male strip club so that you and the girls can watch some gorgeous guys shaking their stuff? Going to a strip club for a bachelorette party can be a lot of fun, but it is important to be on your best behaviour! There are etiquette guidelines for these types of clubs and if you break the rules, you could find your evening getting cut short by being kicked out.

Here are some important strip club etiquette tips that ladies should keep in mind when they are watching male strippers:

Hands Off… Unless Otherwise Noted

Just because you are a woman and he is a man, that still doesn’t mean that you can touch him without permission. Check to find out whether touching the strippers is allowed, or ask him for his consent. If he says no, simply look and don’t touch.

It’s way too easy to get caught up in the moment and just reach a hand out to feel how smooth his abs are, but you will need to restrain yourself if it’s a “no contact” strip club.

Do Unto Others…

The dancers are people too, so treat them with respect and remember that they have feelings too. Treat them how you would want to be treated. If someone isn’t performing to your desires, don’t jeer them. Just wait for the next dancer or find another stage to watch.

Cash is King

Bring enough cash with you. The strip clubs will have ATMS, but they will charge a hefty withdrawal fee. Make sure that you have enough cash with you for a drink, some dances and plenty of tips for the stage dancers, the bartender, the bathroom attendants and the bouncer.

We can’t stress enough to make sure you have tip money. These guys work tirelessly to ensure you have the time of your life and that your Montreal bachelorette party is as scandalous as you wanted it to be.

Leave Technology Behind

Don’t spend the night texting or looking at your smart phone. It’s insulting to the talented performers who are there entertaining you. It’s also is a complete waste of time and money. This goes for a lot of things you’ll be doing on your bachelorette party, but live in the moment and give technology a break for a little bit.

No Photography

While we’re on the topic of smartphones and technology, don’t ever take photos or pictures in the strip club. It’s against the rules and the dancers or staff will likely confiscate your device and delete the photos. If you absolutely want a photo to commemorate the occasion, talk to management at the club to see if they have a photo opportunity anywhere.

Be Respectful

Don’t be too loud and obnoxious. Sometimes when women get together in a group there is a lot of hooting, hollering, woooing and screaming. This is fine in moderation, but if you are making so much of a racket that no one can hear the music as the stripper is performing, you might be asked to leave.

Avoid having the mindset of “you paid a lot of money for this, you can do whatever you want.” That’s not how it works, you’re still obligated to follow the club’s rules and be respectful of others in the club.

Drink in moderation

We get it. You’re in the company of your best friends and are having a great time, it’s a little too easy to indulge on endless libations! But, if you are too drunk you are more likely to do something inappropriate or embarrass yourself, so make sure that you are in control of your level of intoxication. It doesn’t take much to get removed from a strip club, so be sure you’re in the right mind and not too blasted to keep yourself in check!

Curb Your Expectations

Don’t expect anything more from the stripper. He is there to entertain you for the evening, but even if he flirts with you it’s not a good idea to assume that he might want to date you or develop a relationship. Most strippers keep their business life very separate from their personal life, so respect these boundaries.

This also relates to drinking in moderation. The more wasted you are, the more likely you are to try and pursue something with a stripper.

In general, the rules for visiting a male strip club as a female are very similar to those that men have to adhere to while visiting a female strip club. Just because you are a woman you are not entitled to any sort of special treatment and you are not exempt from the rules. Simply act like a lady and show respect for the dancers and you will have a positive experience.
