A holiday classic that has become a holiday tradition in Montreal, The Nutcracker returns to the stage at Place Des Arts for everyone to enjoy. The Nutcracker has dazzled everyone who has sat in attendance since 1964, using dance and music as the driving force behind the musical. Les Grand Ballets have the absolute best dancers to play their roles and will amaze you with their grace and beauty. The legendary score that classical composer and master Tchaikovsky wrote in the 19th century. 

The Nutcracker story was a children’s story written by E.T.A Hoffman and has inspired multiple versions of the original. Decembre is one of Canada’s largest productions and features 24 artists who will sing and dance to over sixty songs throughout the whole show. You will get lost in your imagination and feel like you are one of the villagers celebrating lives and the holidays.

Le Petit Noel is a show geared towards children ages 2 to 8; for nearly an hour, you can keep your family well entertained. The hills of Montreal will come alive this December when the theatrical performance movie Sound of music. Quebec’s own musical phenom Gregory Charles is directing the adaptation that seamlessly incorporates a ten-musician orchestra, twenty-five actors, and all our favorite songs from the movie. Although Julie Andrews will not be leading the show, you can rest assured that with Charles at the helm, only the absolute best singers will be hitting the stage. So come follow the Von Trapp family and their attempts to escape the encroaching Nazi regime via song, dance, and some drama.
