A Christmas Village Is Pooped Up This December in Montreal, And They Are Celebrating the Holidays All Month Long.

Festival Noel Dans Le Parc will be taking place from December 3rd to December 31st, including a New Year’s Eve party. You will have to bundle up for this outdoor festival that transforms parks in the Mile End, the Village, and the Plateau into Christmas villages where you can sip on some adult beverages, watch amazing concerts, and even buy a real Christmas tree. The festival is not only for adults because there are activities throughout the day geared towards children so that you can enjoy the festivities with the whole family.

Rumour has it Santa Claus will make a surprise visit to the festival on December 10th,17th and 31st to entertain your kids and promise them their favorite gifts if they were not naughty this year. Three parks will be hosting the various events, and Place Emilie-Gamelin will be hosting the brunt of the load. Parks Lahaie and Parc des Compagnons-de-Saint-Laurent will pick up the rest of the activities giving fun seekers plenty of options to choose from.

You can visit a different park every weekend, and you will never get bored of seeing the same things; the shows are always different. There will be a stage, and no stage is complete without performers and boy, oh boy, they have an extensive list of great acts to enjoy. Every single day there will be a live concert or theatrical performances that vary in genre.

The most known group performing is Montreal’s Bran Van 3000, who will be bringing their rock and Hip Hop stylings to the stage, and you can be sure to hear their smash hit “Drinking in L.A”. They will be headlining the year’s final show on December 31st alongside fellow Quebecois group Les Frere a Ch’val.

This is the 29th edition of the Festival Noel Dans le Parc, and this year is proving to be the most significant and longest-running festival in their history. It is a beautiful way to experience the holidays in Montreal, and no matter the weather, the show will go on. Put on your winter coat, put your scarf and tuques on and do not forget the boots and enjoy these festivals for hours on end.
