She reconnects with her community through the classroom and her students, who offer different perspectives on life on the reserve. Yammie is forced to confront the changes and challenges her fellow villagers have faced over the years in her absence.
RUBBERBAND – Reckless Underdog

RUBBERBAND celebrates two decades of artistry with Reckless Underdog, a three-part evening performance highlighting the genius of choreographer Victor Quijada. Quijada’s approach to dance is a creative fusion of ballet, hip-hop culture, and contemporary dance. Reckless Underdog takes the audience on a journey through space and time, with each section featuring its own unique scenography, energy, and Montreal’s musical collaborators. The contributions of Chilly Gonzales, Kid Koala, Vlooper from the Alaclair Ensemble, and Jasper Gahunia shape the musical landscape of the performance.
Le Chapelier Fou – Mad Hatter

The Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil, conducted by Alexandre Da Costa, presents an exciting new Broadway musical called The Mad Hatter, a magical production set in Wonderland that explores the life of the Mad Hatter before the arrival of Alice. The story follows Franklin Magellan, a hatter who is crippled by tragic circumstances. When he is transported to Wonderland, he becomes obsessed with the crystal and descends into madness. This world premiere and concert version is a captivating journey that takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster through the life of the Mad Hatter.
Social Tango Project

Montreal audiences are in for a treat when the Social Tango Project from Buenos Aires performs in the city for the first time. Choreographer Augustina Videla combines dance, photography, and documentary film to create a unique experience. Consisting of 12 dancers, six musicians and two singers, the group presents tango as a meeting place, creating an intimate connection between people of all ages and backgrounds. Born on the banks of the Rio de la Plata in the 1880s, tango has captured the hearts of dancers around the world, transcending cultures and generations.

The mixed program Ultraviolet features the work of four contemporary artists who explore various aspects of our minds. Ultraviolet is about our hidden motives and how we act. Beguile is about how we are all connected and how we influence each other. Crater is a beautiful dance set to the music of Bach. Déséquilibre délectable is an intimate creation that looks at the dark side of our emotions. Substrate is about how technology is becoming part of our lives and how it is changing us. Together, these four acts create a unique experience that will make you question consciousness in all its forms.
