From smash burgers in Little Italy to circus acrobatics in the sky, Montreal is fully alive this weekend. Whether you’re craving a throwback comedy set, a street party packed with soul, or a legendary hip-hop group tearing up the stage, Week 27 has something for every rhythm, mood, and appetite.
This week’s edition features Mange Dans Mon Hood, a no-frills burger joint with a big heart, and all the can’t-miss performances and festivals happening from Thursday, July 10th to Sunday, July 14th. Let’s get into it.
🍔 Restaurant of the Week: Mange Dans Mon Hood
📍 Address: 6704 rue Clark, Montréal, QC H2S 3E9
Launched by three friends from Montreal’s East End, Mange Dans Mon Hood started as a humble pandemic-era project and quickly grew into a smash burger phenomenon. Now permanently planted in Little Italy, this bright and colorful counter-style spot blends comfort food, local pride, and nostalgic flair in all the right ways.
The space is casual but charming, with cheeky Québec references and playful design choices that nod to dépanneurs, snack bars, and neighborhood joints we all grew up with. It feels familiar, welcoming, and full of heart—just like the food.
🍽️ What to Order:
Smash burgers are the soul of the menu, and they deliver serious flavor and texture with every bite.
Hood Burger – a double smash patty with American cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, and signature hood sauce on a squishy potato roll.
Hot Chicken Smash – crispy fried chicken layered with coleslaw, house pickles, and spicy mayo.
La Grilled Cheese Smash – cheddar grilled cheese with a smash patty tucked inside. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.
Sides include perfectly crisped crinkle fries, available fully loaded with toppings like cheese sauce, jalapeños, and chopped pickles. And to top it off? Soft-serve ice cream dipped in cherry, chocolate, or butterscotch shell—pure throwback joy.
🍹 Drinks to Match:
While MDMH keeps things simple, there’s a rotating menu of house sodas, iced coffees, and seasonal cold drinks. No cocktails here—just pure snack bar satisfaction with Montreal flavor and attitude.
Whether you’re hungover, homesick, or just hungry for something deliciously nostalgic, Mange Dans Mon Hood is the kind of place you’ll want to visit again and again.
