The festival is the most effective promotion of Montreal’s Portuguese language and culture. It is open to the public, with Portuguese-speaking music ambassadors and famous gastronomic specialties to enjoy. The festival also features a big dancing parade delights residents and shopkeepers on Rue St-Urbain, Rue Rachel, and Rue St-Laurent. The festival is dedicated to preserving Portuguese-speaking cultures in Canada and invites everyone to celebrate multiculturalism in Montreal through music, arts, and gastronomy.
