The winter blues are in full swing in February but lucky for you, there are some great concerts to bring your spirits back up despite the mountains of snow everywhere! Across numerous venues across Montreal, some big-name artists are taking the stage, as well as some lesser-known acts that are worthy of your attention. 

You might be hesitant to travel downtown and other busier areas of Montréal where these venues are located because of winter. Still, by using public transportation, you can skip the headaches of finding parking or digging out your snowed-in cars. Valentine’s Day is also a massive event in February and bringing your girlfriend or boyfriend to any of these shows is a wonderful way to express your love.

Sloan

Based out of Toronto, Sloan has released thirteen albums and I one of the top-selling Canadian bands in history. Watching Sloan at a smaller venue like Café Campus is a terrific opportunity to get up close in personal with the band and feel every musical note flow through your body.

In his first headlining tour Forest Blakk will have to prove that he is more than a one hit wonder but rather a complete musical artist. On Black’s Facebook page, he writes, “I wrote a song. It went platinum…I have no clue what I am doing,” which only proves how lighthearted and modes he is. Forest Blakk is much more talented than he proclaims and will give you a great show to enjoy. 

Central Cee

Central Cee is a British rapper who has climbed up the billboard ranks in the United Kingdom. Traveling across the Atlantic, Central Cee hopes to show off his British Hip Hop skills that are heavily influenced by trap music.
