Le Blossom

Le Blossom is a stunning saké bar and restaurant that opened in early December 2017 in Montreal’s The Village neighborhood. The establishment is the brainchild of Dan Pham (Red Tiger, Kamehameha Snack-Bar) and twins Viet and Nam Truong. The trio introduced Montreal to a relatively unknown concept at the time—a saké bar/restaurant. The name “Le Blossom” is inspired by the significance of the delicate pink cherry blossoms, known as sakura, in Japanese culture.

Le Blossom offers a blend of traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes. While they serve conventional dishes like Udon soups and sashimi, the highlight is their Temakis or handrolls. These handrolls, made with high-quality nori, homemade fluffy rice, and fresh fish, are meant to be consumed immediately to savor the crisp freshness of the ingredients. The bar area, which seats 21, exclusively serves these handrolls. However, you can order from the entire menu if you’re sitting in the main dining area. Additionally, they offer two delightful desserts crafted by Sous-chef Go Sato. The restaurant also boasts an extensive saké selection, one of the most comprehensive in Montreal.

Blossom aimed to craft a space that feels both futuristic and traditional. A standout feature is the magnificent cherry tree at the center of the room, adding an organic touch that is both refreshing and unique. The artist Aless Mc has also contributed with captivating illustrations, especially noticeable in the restaurant’s meticulously designed washrooms.
