An Itinerary You Can Taste 

Montréal en Lumière Special Events is a culinary celebration that highlights the best of Québec’s culinary scene. From February 16 to 26, Les Apéros Montréal en Lumière will take place at L’Arrière-Scène on the Esplanade Tranquille, presented by Vins Côtes du Rhône and hosted by Michelle Bouffard. To complete the menu, a conference on culinary identity will be held on February 23 in partnership with the Société du réseau ÉCONOMUSÉE. 

Air France will also present “À table avec Jean-Paul Riopelle”, a gourmet event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the painter’s birth. On February 22, the Toqué restaurant, located near the La Joute artwork on Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, will offer a unique menu reflecting the painter’s unifying and collaborative spirit. A Culinary Adventure 

The Quartier Gourmand, a special place dedicated to the promotion of Quebec’s unique products, will take place for the first time in the hall of the Place des Arts (Espace Culturel Georges-Émile Lapalme). Over two weekends (February 18-19 and 25-26, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.), more than 20 free activities will be offered, including conferences, tastings, culinary demonstrations, and workshops.

Mordu, Radio-Canada’s gourmet platform, will present four exciting and mouth-watering workshops at 3:45 p.m. On February 18, Jérémie Jean-Baptiste will host the first workshop on Asian vegetables with Stéphanie Wang of Le Rizen. On February 19, Loounie will give a workshop on vegan pastries. On February 25th, indigenous cuisine will be in the spotlight as Amine Laabi presents indigenous culinary traditions alongside Anora Lia Collier and his mother. On February 26, Geneviève O’Gleman will share unique and simple ideas for transforming food destined for the trash into delicious gourmet dishes, with a focus on sustainable foods.

A Treat You Cannot Resist

Air France Finest Tables is a culinary extravaganza that brings together renowned chefs, winemakers and producers from around the world. This year, more than 30 chefs from France, Canada, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Scandinavia will showcase their culinary skills. From Michelin-starred chefs Benoit Neusy, Romain Meder and Lionel Lévy to Ina Niiniketo of Sikke’s in Helsinki, each chef will partner with a city restaurant to create a magical dining experience.

Winemakers such as Julien Labet and Laurent Cazottes will also be part of the festivities, adding to the sensory experience. In addition to traditional tasting menus, the Air France Finest tables will offer exclusive lunches, brunches and happy hours, as well as a sweet treat in partnership with Cacao Barry and Esprits libres. History of Montreal En Lumiere

The creation of Montréal En Lumière was made possible in 2000 thanks to the vision and leadership of Alain Simard and the support of influential organizations such as Tourisme Montréal, the Greater Montréal Chamber of Commerce, the Ville de Montréal and the Gouvernement du Québec. Over the years, this winter festival has grown to become one of the largest winter celebrations in the world, attracting thousands of visitors each year.
