ROUGE’S LONG HISTORY
It all started in 2002 at the hands of Francois Boitard, who was no stranger to nightlife and entrepreneurship. On the corner of Prince Arthur and St. Laurent Boulevard, Boitard took a chance to create Rouge, setting the foundation for what has become one of the most successful clubs in Montreal’s history. A club surviving for twenty years, including the forced shutdown during COVID, adds to the mystique.
THE BRAINS BEHIND IT ALL
Boitard was not alone in creating Rouge. He wisely took on Fabio Siconolfi, a waiter at Rouge, and elevated him to manager and owner. Fabio has developed a nightlife reputation envied by many in the industry. Boitard set the foundation, and Fabio helped elevate Rouge to legendary status. Rouge’s ownership has expanded in the last couple of years, adding Mass Minn and Alffy Lauricella to the team, contributing significantly to the club’s success.
